The fishing town of Puerto Lopez, with its beautiful sunsets, varied restaurants and the famous fish market. Whale watching is popular from mid-June to October. Humpback whales mate behind Salango Island, off the shore of the community Salango where Oasis is located.
The vibrant, hip town of Montañita, world renown for its international surfing circuit. The streets of Montañita are filled with bars, restaurants, and cafés that cater to all the budgets and tastes of tourists from all over the world.
Machalilla National Park, a large preserve that includes one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Los Frailes and Agua Blanca, the sulfur lagoon. The park also includes several beaches, fog forest, dry forest, small islands and two larger islands, Salango and Isla de la Plata known as the poor man’s Galapagos and only a 45 minute boat ride away.
Los Frailes Beach, part of Machalilla Park, is a crescent shaped beach with cliffs on both sides. It is one of the world's most beautiful beaches, the crystal blue water beckons snorkelers and swimmers alike. After entering through the gate, hike the two miles from the entrance to the beach for spectacular views.
Manta, the largest seaport in Ecuador and its international airport. Manta is a mix of old traditional homes and stores and new condo developments, restaurants and an active nightlife.
Pacoche Wildlife Sanctuary, with some 41 species of mammals living in the forest, including 3200 monkeys, as well as more than 200 species of birds, and various reptiles and amphibians. The refuge protects 5,045 hectares of terrestrial ecosystems and 8,500 hectares of coastal marine ecosystems, an ideal combination of land and sea.
Guayaquil, a modern city and the largest and the most populous city in Ecuador, with around 2.69 million people in the metropolitan area, as well as the nation’s main port. Tourists love to visit the Iguana Park, home to roaming iguanas and Las Peñas, a neighborhood in the northeast corner of the city centre; the artistic centre of the city. Many of the area’s 400-year-old houses have been converted into art galleries and several notable artists have studios in the area. We are located three hours north of Guayaquil.
And so much more! Quito is only a 45 minute flight from Manta. The airport in Manta is about 1.5 hours from Oasis via the Ruta del Sol, traveling through several small, traditional towns at the edge of the ocean with spectacular views. We offer airport transfers from the Manta airport.
